The 24 PHP Tutorial book

php tutorial book for beginners Hey just wanted to let everyone know that my PHP tutorial book for utter PHP newbies is out now on the Kindle store. It covers a decent spread of material, introducing lots of core PHP concepts and techniques. No previous experience in web development is assumed, though some knowledge of HTML will help. Golearnphp.com usually overs more advanced PHP topics, but I was advised that we need some introductory material to refer people to, so here it is. For my more technical readers: don’t worry, there are some way more advanced technical things in the pipeline! Get it here.

Availability on other platforms

The 24 hour PHP tutorial book is currently exclusive to Kindle Select, but will be more widely available in early-mid October 2013. At this stage it will likely be published on iBooks, Smashwords, and Scribd. If you’d like to be notified of updates, join the mailing list.

raddir yii framework tutorial
I’ve already produced a first steps tutorial for total PHP newbies, and now I’m dying to get stuck into something much bigger and more challenging. When the main body of the development is complete it will be an actual PHP web app that you can download and install for yourself. The intention is to then implement the app at some hosting, make it live and populate it, and try to get people using it. This post-development stage is not strictly speaking part of PHP development, but it is critical to the success of any site and so may be of use to you. In any case it should make for a fun experiment! (more…)
